Welcome! reneeandelliott.com is a venue for us to share with our friends. There isn’t much that is conventional about us, but we do not stand out as full-fledged weirdos. One thing that is normal about us is that our teenage son thinks we are weird.
By June of 2005, Renee and Elliott both had grown disillusioned with internet dating sites. Elliott’s email languished in Renee’s inbox for a few weeks before she decided to respond. Renee had nothing to lose. She had set her plan in motion and was getting ready to move back to Tennessee. It wouldn’t hurt to fill some down-time with intelligent company.
If there was ever a good time to be uncharacteristic, this was it. Renee did not carry through with her plan. It became apparent almost immediately that they had both found what they were looking for. The only downside was that Renee had already shipped her son Austin back to Tennessee.
Over the next two years, Renee, Elliott and Austin would face: finding the love of your life, separation from loved ones, job dissatisfaction, the displacing feeling of 2 major hurricanes hitting South Florida, adjusting to new family roles, the addition of a new pet, starting a new business, and welcoming Ariana Leigh Holiday as the newest member of the family.
This is our story thus far. The rest will have to wait until we live it, write it, and share it.
